Mark Hacking is an award-winning writer/editor who has contributed to some of the world’s leading publications, including Azure, Black Ink, Departures, enRoute, Intersection, Montecristo, NUVO, the Globe and Mail and Report on Business.
Although his focus as a writer has been largely on the automotive world, he also covers architecture, business, design, technology and travel for his various outlets in print and online.
He’s the former associate editor of Driven, a multiple award-winner at the National Magazine Awards, a contributing editor with Ignition Luxury + Performance and the editor of MODALINA, a niche luxury lifestyle magazine. To top it all off, he's hard at work developing a handful of choice film and television projects.
Mark’s passion for cars has carried over to the motorsport arena, where he’s competed in a variety of races and rallies over the past decade. A three-time podium finisher at Targa Newfoundland, he also won the first two professional road races he entered in 2009. Mark has raced with Aston Martin at the infamous Nürburgring Nordschleife and was the first journalist to be a guest driver in the Ferrari Challenge.
He holds an FIA International C race license and has his sights set on some of the greatest endurance races in history—the Carrera Panamericana, 24 Hours of Daytona and 24 Hours of Le Mans.
